Lumber prices and other stupid stuff.

The rise and fall of lumber prices in America and other stupid stuff I think of when I am not sleeping at 3AM.

My spies in the West told me the MBA idiots who manage the lumber industry on the West Coast and lumber mills decided in February 2020 their stupid spreadsheet predicted a serious fall in demand for lumber, so they laid off 80% of the mill workers. There was no decline in demand. Instead, with all the people at home, there was a tremendous surge in demand. Now the idiot managers are having a hard time getting the mill workers to come back to work because Oregon, California and Washington in their liberal political election buying dreams are still paying unemployment benefits higher than the mill workers’ wages at the mills. Most of the other civilized conservative or even purple states have stopped the vote buying unemployment checks but are still handling people who really need assistance.

I feel sorry for the drought stricken West Coast states with their monster fires. Do you think any of the water shortage issues and subsequent lack of reservoir water to build rain clouds have anything to do with stupid decisions over the last several decades by politicians in those states, or is it all climate change? Any insurance adjuster knows the climate has changed. Tornado alley has moved East, but the forest fires have stayed out West. Why is The Big City headquartered Fake News Media still reporting that the conservative states are letting children starve, holding immigrant children in cages, denying people the right to vote, and letting people remain homeless. Where is the talk about stupid political decisions that are destined to bankrupt many states? You cannot drive a block in any conservative city without seeing dozens of help-wanted signs. The unemployment rates are exceptionally low. Most of the homeless people long ago moved to the blue states anyway, so conservative states only have a small population of the homeless. There are obviously issues finding enough money to feed and house people, but conservative states do not have tent cities on government owned property.  The people who remain homeless in those states do not want anything but a shelter bed and a hot meal once a day. They continue to get assistance without a problem if they let anybody know they need help. Sometimes mental help is also provided.

Now how about energy sources and the climate.

Even Bill Gates, the guy conservatives love to hate and shamers love to shame, is touting better plans for clean energy that the BS being brought up by Congress, AOC and other ignorant to reality politicians. All you conservatives, hold your breath and read this entire article of what Gates is supporting. https://www.gatesnotes.com/Energy/Introducing-a-new-way-to-invest-in-clean-energy-innovation?WT.mc_id=20210713100000_BE-Catalyst_BG-EM_&WT.tsrc=BGEM

Yes, I do think Bill Gates is a brilliant guy. He, Paul Allen, and Steve Balmer pulled the wool over IBM’s eyes with MS DOS, IBM PC clones and extremely cheaper to own and operate computer systems. I have even talked with Gates and Balmer a couple of times on a one-to-one basis. Gates’ political stances have periodically not exactly matched mine, but he is a brilliant guy. He has helped control disease with billions in contributions to find working vaccines and eradicate disease among the poor and rich people alike. Despite his philandering ways, I can forgive him, because he always treated me with respect and kindness. Melinda is a zillionaire too. She is especially important to the future citizens globally as well. Unfortunately, the idiots in the publicly traded boards of directors have put a bunch of MBA spreadsheet builders in power too. Microsoft was very well run under Gates and Steve Balmer, who like Bill and Melinda, is a zillionaire who takes full advantage of the stupid, criminal, biased and complicated US Tax Code. Paul Allen, who died too young like Steve Jobs, was also a Microsoft founder. And the tax code? Sorry CPA and tax lawyer friends out there, but the government must make taxation a smarter, simpler system than the Crony Capitalist Oligarch campaign contributor system we currently have.

Finally, I call BS on the mainstream news media in general. They make money keeping us a divided nation and reporting the bad news of the day. I watch good old-fashioned locally owned news produced in my hometown, not NYC, Chicago, or LA. I find entrepreneur run companies much more able to respond quickly to changes than MBA run companies, and I hope everyone will join me and start pushing for true reforms in how things are being run these days. Rise up, my “Silent Majority” friends, the world needs your rational opinions now. Please do not wait until the next election. Help me let the idiots in powerful celebrity positions know you see what they are doing, and you will make sure they are not in charge of anything much longer.

I hate being angry every day, but it gives my aggressive personality a vent.

I am not all in, I am in halfway.
