Capitalism vs Socialism or Communism.

Capitalism vs Socialism or Communism

Socialist candidates have won recent 2025 elections in the U.S. I have lived for over three-fourths of a century in the U.S. and have seen global examples of Capitalism, Socialism and Communism. I also had required classes in history, geography and politics starting in the eighth grade. The classes discussed the failures and successes of each of the three major types of government. Are students still required to take those classes? I believe government schooling is no longer explaining all types of government. Over the years, all three forms of government have evolved to the middle, or they have failed. Some candidates have started calling themselves Socialist Democrats. I am confused and do not understand what that means and why Socialists use Socialist Democrats. The Democrats should ban Socialists from tagging on the Democrat name.

Liberal news reporters report Socialism has been tried several times over the two hundred plus years since the beginning of the U.S.A. and it has never worked anywhere. Socialist and Communist goals and promises sound good to some people during the campaign in an election, but do not seem to be implemented after the elections. The use of the word Oligarch increases during campaigns when Socialists speak of Conservatives. History indicates that most types of government end up with Oligarchs. Interestingly, candidates that run as socialists become Oligarchs themselves. That is a benefit of winning an election and successfully padding enough pockets with legislation to receive cash under the table.

Capitalism has historically been the best form for the citizens, the electorate may be liberals, moderates, and conservatives. Otherwise, there is too much bad legislation. In the four years before 2025 our elected officials spent too much time furthering the divide, and less time working on a compromise that benefits the most constituents. Unfortunately, once elected, the primary job of an elected official is to pad enough pockets to get enough funds for a re-election campaign. Is that how Oligarchs are formed?

Have you noticed some elected officials visit news companies with opinions more than most? They are gaining celebrity, which gets campaign contributions, and leads to reelection. When campaigns try to unseat incumbents, new candidates try to gain celebrity and encourage campaign contributions. If they are elected, they immediately start running for reelection, which means they start raising campaign money.

My question is, why have more people moved toward socialism in the U.S.? Is the main reason because current elected officials have ignored our economy? Is the main reason for the confusion a lack of proper education in the different forms of government? Another reason may be people simply do not research who will put their constituents in first place in their thoughts, not themselves and their re-election. Socialism and Communism have never historically returned satisfactory results. History shows shortages of jobs, food, housing, and transportation under non-capitalist nations. Please research and study the candidates before you vote. Vote for someone who already has enough money to support themselves and their families and friends.

Winston Churchill viewed capitalism as a system that encourages individual initiative and innovation. He believed that it fosters economic growth and prosperity for society. Churchill acknowledged the flaws of capitalism, including inequality and exploitation. He advocated for a balanced approach, combining capitalism with social welfare measures. Churchill emphasized the importance of competition in driving progress and efficiency. He argued that while capitalism has its challenges, it remains the best system for promoting freedom and democracy. Churchill also stated: Many forms of Government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time….’
